The hire charge of the cricket pitch from 9am to dusk is £3000 + VAT
The use of up to four changing rooms is included in the hire charge.
Cricket whites must be worn by all players.
Stumps and a scoreboard will be provided by the HAC. All other equipment must be provided by the Hirer.
You are welcome to bring spectators along to view the match or to join in with the barbecue later on. We suggest no more than 250 people in total however if you do have larger numbers please contact us and we will advise. Please note that for the cricket matches which take place whilst the marquee is in place on the south end of the Artillery Garden, spectators are limit to 100 people.
We can offer a variety of catering options from a barbecue or a traditional cricket tea to a dinner inside the House. Please note that all catering must be provided by our in-house caterers.

Naturally we hope that you have lovely weather on the day however it is always best to be prepared. We provide a small tent from which the catering can be served however there is not sufficient space within this tent for guests to eat if the weather is bad.
If you do not wish to take the risk then you may wish to consider one of the following options:
Hire of the Prince Consort Rooms (larger numbers only) £5250 + VAT
The Prince Consort Rooms seats up to 350 guests for lunch or dinner or accommodates 500+ for a stand up reception.
Hire of the Queen’s or Ante Room (each accommodate up to 60 standing) £450 + VAT
Hire of an additional 12m x 6m tent to go alongside the catering tent £1050 + VAT
(will hold up to 70 people standing)
Please note that there will be no refund in the event of inclement weather. Whilst we will make all efforts to avoid cancelling or curtailing a match, the Groundsman's decision on whether the pitch is playable is final.
You will need to ensure that you have public liability cover of £5,000,000. In addition you are advised to take insurance for adverse weather to cover the grounds hire and any other costs such as catering which may be involved. Insurance can be obtained from

We have 15 sets of attractive wooden garden furniture available to hire. Each set consists of a rectangular table, six chairs and a cream parasol. These are charged at £40 + VAT per set
There is no parking available on site at the HAC. There is an NCP carpark across the road at Finsbury Square.
HAC records show that cricket was being played on the Artillery Garden in 1725. The first recorded match of which there is a positive record took place in 1730 when London beat Surrey by six notches and earned 20 guineas.
